Refund policy

Every Pastachiavi piece is handcrafted, finished, and assembled individually and made to order. Due to the artisanal nature of our products, all sales are final.

This policy applies to all purchases made through pastachiavi.com and does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or waived.

 

1. Final Sale – No Returns & No Refunds

Because all Pastachiavi items are handmade and produced to order, we do not accept returns or offer refunds, including but not limited to:

  • Change of mind

  • Buyer’s remorse

  • Preference-based dissatisfaction

  • Ordering the wrong model, size, or colour

  • Disliking natural handmade variations

  • Normal wear, aging, or patina

  • Delays caused by shipping carriers

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that all purchases are final.

 

 

2. Exceptional Exchanges (Discretionary)

In limited and exceptional circumstances, Pastachiavi may, at its sole discretion, offer an exchange for an item that arrives:

  • Clearly damaged, or

  • Severely defective to the extent that it cannot be reasonably used as intended

Exchanges are not guaranteed and are evaluated case by case.

 

Important Exchange Conditions:

  • Exchanges are only offered as a replacement, never as a refund

  • All shipping costs related to an exchange (return + reshipment) are the responsibility of the customer

  • Original shipping fees, customs duties, and taxes are non-refundable

  • The replacement item will be handmade and may present natural variations consistent with artisanal production

 

3. Reporting an Issue (Mandatory Timeline)

Any issue must be reported within 10 days of the order being marked Delivered by the shipping carrier.

Requests submitted after this period will not be reviewed.

To be considered, you must provide:

  • Order number

  • Full name

  • Clear description of the issue

  • Clear photo or video evidence showing:

    • The issue or damage

    • The full product

    • The original packaging and shipping label

     

Failure to provide sufficient documentation may result in the request being denied.

 


4. Handmade Nature & Acceptable Variations (Not Defects)

Pastachiavi products are crafted entirely by hand using lambskin leather and brass.

The following are normal characteristics of artisanal products and are not defects, nor grounds for exchange:

  • Minor variations in shape, proportion, or dimensions

  • Slight differences in colour, tone, or leather texture

  • Natural markings, grain, or irregularities in materials

  • Small asymmetries inherent to handmade production

  • Natural brass patina developing over time

By purchasing from Pastachiavi, you acknowledge that handcrafted products are not machine-perfect.

 

 

5. Non-Eligible Complaints

We do not offer exchanges for:

  • Personal preference or aesthetic dissatisfaction

  • Expectations of mass-produced uniformity

  • Improper handling, storage, or cleaning

  • Damage occurring after use

  • Wear and tear

  • Exposure to water, chemicals, heat, or friction beyond normal use

 

Custom or personalized items (including engravings, initials, logos, special requests) are strictly final sale under all circumstances.

 

 

 

6. Condition for Approved Exchanges

If an exchange is approved:

  • The item must be unused

  • Returned in original condition

  • Include all components, hardware, and accessories

 

Pastachiavi reserves the right to deny an exchange if the returned item shows signs of use, alteration, or damage inconsistent with the reported issue.

 

 

7. Shipping Costs & Responsibility

  • All shipping costs related to exchanges are paid by the customer

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable

  • Pastachiavi is not responsible for lost or delayed return shipments

  • We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method

 

 

8. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your order arrives visibly damaged or appears lost, contact us immediately with photos of:

  • The exterior packaging

  • The shipping label

  • The damaged areas

 

We will assist where possible, including carrier claims, but Pastachiavi is not liable for carrier-related delays or losses beyond what is required by law.

 

 

9. International Orders

For international orders:

  • Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are not covered, refunded, or reimbursed

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable

  • Any exchange shipping costs remain the customer’s responsibility

 

Local consumer protection laws may apply where mandatory.
